Upload a profile image by selecting the 'Choose Image' button once you are on the profile update page. The images should be .png or .jpg. Although not necessary, your images will render best if they are 145px by 145px.
Selecting the type of user that best describes you is required and gives the Cover Community an idea of how you may be experiencing Cover.

How can I resolve a suspended account?
